DAN WILSON

Dan is a professional investment manager in Australia and the UK . For over 15 years he successfully traded through a range of extreme market cycles, at times managing some of the largest option positions in the market.

 

As a founding equity partner in a boutique hedge fund he worked to establish the firm as a specialist investment manager with 5-Star ratings from asset consultants and rating agencies such as S&P. In particular, he led the development of a strategic joint venture with Zurich Investments and created a highly successful Equity Income Fund which raised over $850 million from investors.

 

He’s been the key speaker on investment and risk strategies at numerous events for investment professionals, many in major cities hosted by Zurich.

 

Dan previously served as an army officer after attending The Royal Military College, Duntroon, where he was awarded the military skills and the field training prize on graduation. He went on to command a specialist reconnaissance and sniper platoon in an infantry battalion. After completing full-time service he was a member of the Army Ready Reserve.

 

Dan studied Business Law at QUT and has a degree in Finance and Economics from Bond. He was a gold medal winner in the rugby sevens at the Australian University Games and president of the university ski club.  He also holds a graduate diploma in Global Security Studies from UNITAR and is a Trustee of the Northern Lights Symphony Orchestra in London.

 

With a passion for alpine skiing Dan is an instructor and conducts regular training with the CSIA in Canada. He also has an interest in rescue and emergency response and is a qualified Advanced EMT and ambulance operator.

DUGALD ROSS

Dugald is a highly experienced trader and fund manager  involved in equity and derivatives markets for over 20 years based in Australia, the UK and the Netherlands. He currently consults throughout Europe, Australia and the UK to businesses who require expert advice on setting up, structuring and managing their business and investment strategy.

 

He began his career working on the floor of the Sydney Futures Exchange and went on to become one of the top equity options market makers on the ASX. For 11 years he worked as a proprietary trader and market maker for JB Were, one of Australias most respected investment houses. During that time he traded a portfolio generating profits in every reporting period.

In 2006 he formed Adina Asset Management (AFSL 306534) providing advice to funds management businesses in many jurisdictions.  During the 2008 financial crisis a US based asset manager engaged him to head up and advise its UK office. As acting manager he more than tripled the size of the UK business and was instrumental in developing worlds best practice trading, operational and risk management procedures.

 

Dugald has a Degree in Economics from the University of Sydney. He has been registered with significant management functions under the UK regulator, the FCA.
